Die Firma VÄTH Automobiltechnik ist die Erste Adresse, wenn es um Tuning und Oldtimererhalt oder -sanierung im bayerischen Hösbach geht. Ziel jeglicher Intervention ist – jeden Tag aufs Neue – die Umsetzung des Firmenmottos „VÄTH Give Your Car Wings“.
Der aktuelle Proband ist ein Mercedes-Benz C 450 AMG 4MATIC (W205). Im Motorraum wurde von den VÄTH-Profis zur Leistungssteigerung ein hauseigenes Tuning-Kit V 45 zum Preis von 3.201,10 Euro installiert, das neben der individuellen Feinabstimmung der Motorelektronik auch die Anhebung der Vmax sowie eine große Kühlanlage beinhaltet. Das Ergebnis dieser „Operation“ sind 441 PS (= 324 kW) Leistung, 570 Nm Drehmoment und 300 km/h Vmax. An Montagekosten fallen zusätzlich 297,50 Euro an.
Nächster Ansatzpunkt des VÄTH-Teams ist eine aus VA-Edelstahl gefertigte Klappenendschalldämpfer-Anlage mit je zwei ovalen Endrohren auf der rechten und linken Seite in 118 x 85 mm mit gebördelten Endrohrkanten für 4.629,10 Euro zzgl. 773,50 Euro Montage.
Es folgt die sportliche und trotzdem komfortable und sichere Tieferlegung mit einem Gewindetieferlegungssatz von 20 bis 40 mm. Hierfür werden 821,10 Euro sowie 434,35 Euro Montage inkl. Achsvermessung aufgerufen.
Die Bremsoptimierung mit Stahlflexleitungen und Rennbremsöl erscheint mit 535,50 Euro plus 238,00 Euro Montage auf der VÄTH-Rechnung. Bleibt noch die Rad-Reifen-Kombination, bestehend aus Felgen in 8,5 J x 19 mit Bereifung in 245/35ZR19 an der Vorderachse (566,44 Euro) bzw. in 9,5 J x 19 mit 275/30ZR19 (706,38 Euro) an der Hinterachse.

VÄTH UNVEILS THE C 450 AMG 4MATIC WITH TUNING-KIT V 45
VÄTH Automobiltechnik in Bavarian Hösbach is the top address for fine tuning as well as for preserving and restoring vintage vehicles. Literally, they live their company’s slogan „VÄTH Give Your Car Wings“; means no matter what kind of technical intervention, they comply with their goals persistently.
The current test object is a Mercedes-Benz C 450 AMG 4MATIC (W205). In order to enhance performance, the VÄTH experts installed their in-house tuning-kit V 45 for 3.201,10 Euro. The kit includes the individual precision-adjustment of the engine electronics, the increase of the Vmax as well as a large cooling system. The result of this „surgery“ are 441 HP (=324 kW), 570 ft.-lbs. of torque and 300 km/h Vmax. The assembly costs 297,50 Euro additionally.
Subsequently, the VÄTH team implants an end muffler system with valves made of VA-stainless-steel. One of the two oval tailpipes with flanged edges in 118 x 85 mm peeks out on each side of the rear end for 4.629,10 Euro plus 773,50 Euro mounting. A lowering thread kit provides the sporty, but comfortable and safe lowering of 20 up 40 mm. The fees for this kit are 821,10 Euro plus installation and axle alignment for 434,35 Euro. The upgrade of the entire brake unit with durable braided steel flex lines and high-performance racing-brake system oil adds 535,50 Euro plus 238,00 Euro for assembly to the VÄTH charges.
The striking wheel-tire-combination have been composed of rims in 8,5 J x19 with tires in 245/35ZR19 on the front axle (566,44 Euro) and 9,5 J x 19 with 275/30ZR19 (706,38 Euro) on the rear axle.
