UMBAU EINES MERCEDES SLS AMG AUF BLACK SERIES by INDEN DESIGN
Die Firma Inden Design ist in der Fahrzeug- und Tuning-Szene schon längst kein unbeschriebenes Blatt mehr. Im rheinland-pfälzischen Rennerod werden hier Fahrzeuge der Marken Ferrari, Porsche und Mercedes sowie weitere Premiumfahrzeuge unter der Führung von Joe Inden veredelt und aufgewertet. Seine präzisen Arbeiten und seine jahrelange Erfahrung wissen Kunden aus ganz Deutschland und der Welt seit knapp 25 Jahren zu schätzen.
Geschäftsführer Joe Inden konnte sich kürzlich einen persönlichen Traum erfüllen und im Kundenauftrag einen der heiß begehrten Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG – Nachfolger des weltberühmten 300 SL – zum Spitzenmodell SLS AMG Black Series umbauen. Den gesamten Umbau aufzuführen, würde jeglichen Rahmen sprengen und wird daher hier nur in groben Zügen aufgeführt.
Zunächst wurde das Fahrzeug komplett demontiert. Sämtliche Mercedes-AMG-Originalteile des Black Series von der Frontschürze, der Motorhaube, den Kotflügeln über die Schweller bis hin zur Heckschürze wurden aufwendig lackiert und später wieder zusammengesetzt. Die Seitenteile, welche die Verbindung zwischen Schweller und Heckschürze bilden, sind aus Carbon hergestellt und wurden speziell angepasst – hierbei spielten vor allem Genauigkeit und Können eine große Rolle. Anschließend wurde das Interieur und der Motorraum mit dem kompletten Carbon-Paket des Black Series ausgestattet. Doch mit dem „Standard“ gab sich der Chef nicht zufrieden: dieses Fahrzeug sollte noch einzigartiger werden. Der gesamte Unterboden wurde eisgestrahlt und viele Teile lackiert oder kunststoffbeschichtet. Zusätzlich wurden ein KW-Gewindefedernsatz und einen Klappenauspuffanlage aus Edelstahl eingebaut. Das gesamte Bild runden die nur bei Inden Design erhältlichen exklusiven BBS-F1-Felgen ab – in den Sondergrößen 10,0Jx20 mit 265/30R20 an der Vorderachse bzw. 12,5Jx21 mit 325/25R21 an der Hinterachse. Auch die Leistung kam nicht zu kurz und so konnte diese von zuvor 571 PS (= 420 kW) dank der Firma MKB auf stolze 635 PS (= 467 kW) erhöht werden.
Fazit: Viele Stunden Arbeit wurden investiert, welche sich am Ende mehr als gelohnt haben. Das Basisfahrzeug ist dank der Genauigkeit und Erfahrung von Joe Inden nach dem Umbau nicht mehr vom Original Black Series-Spitzenmodell zu unterscheiden. Von der Front bis zum Heck absolute Perfektion. Am Ende kann sich der Kunde über ein echtes Einzelstück und Unikat freuen.

UPGRADE OF MERCEDES SLS AMG TO BLACK SERIES by INDEN DESIGN
For an extended5 period of time, Inden Design is most certainly preeminent in the vehicle- and tuning scene. Located in Rennerod in Rhineland Palatinate, vehicles of the brand Ferrari, Porsche and Mercedes – as well as other high-end automobiles – are becoming intensified and upgraded under the guidance of Joe Inden. For almost 25 years, his precise pieces of work and many years of experience are highly appreciated by customers from across Germany and worldwide. Lately, business owner Joe Inden was able to fulfill his own personal dream. On a client’s behalf, he modified one of the sought-after Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG – successor of the world-famous 300 SL – into a top-of-the-range model SLS AMG Black Series. As for now the project is broadly outlined as covering every detail would be too extensive.
As the first step the entire vehicle is dismantled. All Mercedes AMG original parts of the Black Series – starting at the front apron, the hood, the fenders, the side sills up to the rear apron – have been lavishly coated and reassembled. The side parts – which are the connectors between the side sills and the rear apron – are made of carbon and have been specially tailored. Utmost preciseness and great skills are key in this field.
Subsequently, the interior and the engine compartment are equipped with the complete carbon package of the Black Series. But the boss wasn’t happy with the “standard” – the vehicle was suppose to be even more unique.
Ice-blast technology has been applied to the entire under body and many parts were coated or plastic laminated. Additionally, a set of KW suspension coil springs and a stainless steel valve exhaust system was mounted. The exclusive BBS-F1 rims – only available at Inden Design – in the special dimensions 10,0Jx20 with 265/30R20 on the front axle and 12,5Jx21 with 325/25R21 on the rear axle complete the overall look. Even the power output has not been neglected. Thanks to MKB the original 571 PS (= 420 kW) made room for an enormous 635 PS (= 467 kW) in total.
Bottom line: Many hours of hard work are paid off at the end. Thanks to the outstanding accuracy and experience of Joe Inden, after the upgrade the basic vehicle is indistinguishable from the original Black Series top-of-the-range model. Absolute perfection from top to bottom. In the end the clientele can take pleasure in this truly one of a kind and unique piece of automobile craftsmanship.
