Die Firma BBM Motorsport in Senden bei Münster ist vor nunmehr knapp vier Jahren aus der Firmenzusammenführung der beiden Tuningfirmen der Gründer Björn BERLEMANN und Marcel WIECHMANN entstanden. Mit Dorian BEER als Karosseriebau-Meister und einem hauseigenen 224xLC Dynojet-Leistungsprüfstand wurde das Team ergänzt. Unterm Strich werden jetzt nahezu alle Bereiche zum Thema Leistungssteigerung abgedeckt.
Ausgangspunkt der Metamorphose ist ein BMW E91 330d LCI mit 245 Serien-PS. Sehr aufwendig wurde ihm bei BBM Motorsport ein M50d-Triebwerk mit drei Litern Hubraum, drei Turboladern, 381 Serien-PS sowie 740 Nm implantiert. Via BBM Chiptuning (Software-Optimierung) auf dem Dynojet Leistungsprüfstand stehen jetzt 440 PS Leistung und 850 Nm Drehmoment zur Verfügung. Das BMW-8-Gang-Sportautomatik-Getriebe bringt die geballte Power nach besten Kräften auf den Asphalt. Und die damit zu erzielenden Fahrdaten brauchen gewiss keinen Vergleich zu scheuen: Spurt von 0 auf 100 km/h in 4,9 s (330d Serie 6,1 s), Zwischenspurt von 100 auf 200 km/h in 9,8 s (330d Serie 17,3 s) und eine Vmax von 296 km/h (330d Serie 250 km/h).
Einige technische Raffinessen seien an dieser Stelle erwähnt. Vorder- und Hinterachse stammen vom M3 E92. Ein Sperrdifferential kommt mit Sperrwerten von 0 bis 100 % daher, die Achsübersetzung beträgt 2.81 zu 1. Die Rad-Reifen-Kombination des BBM-Motorsport-Boliden besteht aus Z-Performance ZP10-Felgen in 8,5×19 ET35 mit Michelin Pilot Sport der Größe 225/35-19 an der Vorderachse bzw. 9,5×19 ET35 mit 255/30-19 an der Hinterachse, übrigens in Kombination mit einem KW-Gewindefahrwerk in der Clubsport-Variante mit verstellbaren Domlagern. Verbaut ist außerdem eine Stoptech Bremsanlage ST60 mit sechs Kolben und 380×35-mm-Scheiben vorn und ST40 mit vier Kolben und 355×32-mm-Scheiben hinten. Auch die 2-Rohr-Abgasanlage in 335d-Optik mit Aktivsoundsystem ist unüberhörbar. Bleibt noch die Arlon-Folie in Blaumetallic, aufgetragen von SFT Carwrap, lobend zu erwähnen.
Im Interieur sind das abgeflachte BMW-Performance-Lenkrad mit Alcantara und Schaltpaddels, die BMW-Performance-Sitze von Recaro (Sportster CS) sowie der originale BMW-Tacho vom M3 E92 zu bestaunen. Um das Projekt perfekt abzuschließen hat dieser Umbau selbstverständlich auch den Segen des Tüv´s erhalten und ist für andere Basis Modelle verfügbar. BMW 350D 3T with TRITURBO POWER by BBM MOTORSPORT
The BBM Motorsport Company at Senden near Muenster, Germany, was founded meanwhile four years ago by merger of the two tuning companies of the founders Bjorn BERLEMANN and Marcel WIECHMANN. The team was completed by Dorian BEER as car-body master and by a company own 224xLC Dynojet performance test station. As result, nearly all areas in fields of performance upgrade can be managed now.
The metamorphoses starting point was an E91 330d LCI BMW with 245 serial HP. In a very expensive way, BBM Motorsport has installed the M50d engine with three liters of capacity, three turbochargers and 381 serial HP with 740 Nm of torque. Via BBM Chiptuning (software optimization), now 440 HP of power with 850 Nm of torque are at disposal, proven by Dynojet performance test station. The BMW 8-speed sports automatic brings the concentrated power as good as possible onto the asphalt. The reached now driving characteristics do not need to fear any comparison: Spurt from 0 up to 100 kmph (60 mph) within 4.9 s (330d series 6.1 s), burst from 100 to 200 kmph (60 to 120 mph) within 9.8 s (330d series 17.3 s) at Vmax of 296 kmph/184 mph (330d series 250 kmph/156 mph).
Here some technical ingenuity should be mentioned. Front and rear axle come from BMW M3 E92. The LSD has values of 0 to 100 %, the final drive ratio is of 2.81 to 1. The wheel-tire-combination of the tuned by BBM-Motorsport bolide consist of Z-Performance ZP10 rims in 8.5×19 ET35 with Michelin Pilot Sport dimensions 225/35-19 on front and 9.5×19 ET35 with 255/30-19 on rear axle, by the way in combination with KW Clubsport variant coilovers with adjustable suspension strut domes. Furthermore, a Stoptech braking system series ST60 with six pistons and 380×35 mm brake discs in front and ST40 with four pistons and 355×32 mm brake discs in rear. Hardly to ignore – the 2-tubes exhaust system in 335d look with active sound system. Still to be mentioned: the Arlon foil wrapping in blue metallic, applied by SFT Carwrap.
Center of attraction in the interior: the flat leveled BMW Performance steering wheel with Alcantara and gear shift paddles, the BMW Performance Recaro seats (Sportster CS) and the original BMW M3 E92 speedometer. In order to finish the project perfectly, these tuning modifications are MOT approved, of course, and also they are available for other basic models.
